Google PR Hype or Hypocrite

With all the speculation on what Google is and isn t using in its algorithm, all the SEO companies that say they can beat the system, and all the web masters worshiping the golden idol that Google PR has become, it s easy to believe the hype.
Why is it so easy? Everyone is looking for a standard way of judging web sites. People like things in black and white, (green and white in this case), and the PR is a semi flawed yet measurable way of performing this task. I want to know if my site is better than my competitors site, and who better to issue the report card than the colossus of internet giant Google.
I suggest a validation technique similar to W3C CSS or XHTML validation, which is realistic. That s is compiled and reviewed by a non profit committee, and that doesn t spawn millions of mini Google link spamming monkeys on the backs of webmasters.
Everyone knows that PR is flawed, but that is still the bar at which most web sites are measured. It s time for a real standard. We need some way to accurately validate the presence, or lack there of, quality web content.
